3 Great reasons to invest in backup quality coin albums

Coin albums are collection staple for generations of coin. Made from high quality, wear-resistant materials, albums are intended to continue and to ensure that the current value of the novice and experienced collectors, which are similar to the coin. In fact if you are new in the world of collecting coins, there are several major reasons why you should consider investing in at least one of the following options for the storage of popular before you begin.

Here are the 3 major reasons for the Bulgarian in Archival-quality coin albums:

1. create Treasured memories. Collection of coins must not be solitary endeavor. In fact this is something you can do with your spouse, children or other loved ones. Popular coin series, such as the United States of America quarters or recently launched national park quarters, provide a great starting point for new collectors and offer years of potential use. Fortunately for these and other known collectable coin series there are custom coin albums. You can even make a game of these special album for filling through the development of competition or find other fun ways to encourage a little healthy competition among your fellow coin collectors.

2. Organize and display your collection of coins. Of course, a group of coins have been accidentally thrown into the drawer is not very attractive and hardly can be classified as a true art. This approach also makes it much more difficult to determine the total value of your collection or share it with other people. Coin albums make it easy to store your treasured finds in a clean, logical fashion, which added to their total value. By providing a clear-cut way of organizing of individual coins, these albums allow you to quickly see what you already have and which coins must still be collected. After providing coins for storage, most backup quality coin albums also provides a space to include sensitive data, such as the series history, where they are from separate coins, mintage figures.

3. increasing the value of the life of your collection. Often a random assortment of individual coins is only worth the combined face value of each coin. However, part of the fun of the collection is the prospect of assembling something much higher value than the sum of its parts. Of course the future value of your collection of coins will depend on the number of variables including age and rarity of the coins in it. However, the accumulation of a number of unique coins in archive quality coin album gives more weight to their efforts, it provides lending a stronger physical presence of your finds.

And finally, coin albums can improve the value of your collection of coins as a much more difficult to accidentally that valuable 1909-S Indian head Penny! Although this may seem silly, leaving loose (and valuable) coins lying around is a recipe for disaster, especially if other members of your family are the true value of your treasures.

Whether you plan to bequeath your collection of coins to future generations or hopefully sell it for profit along the way, using quality coin albums will help protect and preserve your investment for years to come.

How to load a coin album

I'm often asked how to coin album page. This is actually a relatively simple process, but if you've never used a coin album may be a little confusing. This article describes how collected album pages, how they work and how they are loaded. There is also a link at the end of the article to a page with a short video so that you can see exactly how the process works instead of trying to present it.

Coin albums are similar to photo albums, so far as they are large books with thick spines and replacement pages. Centres of each page are rigid and is designed to keep coins and they may be removed or added to albums. Most albums have some predefined type of the collection of coins, as Lincoln cents 1909 to 2009, however, manufacturers also sell connecting and pages separately, so that you can create your own collections of album. Coin albums are usually considered bigger than the coin folders because they allow examination of the two sides having additional protection with thin and clear sheet of acetate.

Coin album pages are built as a five-layer sandwich. The top of the page, is usually washable cover. Under layer is clear acetate sheet, which is usually the width of the page, and half an inch or so larger than a coin opening. In the middle of the page is thick, coin and is usually the same card. In the middle layer is another acetate sheet, followed by the last fifth layer, which is another cover for the rear side of the page. Some pages will be printed with the title at the beginning and tags around each coin opening screen.

Trick to load album with coins is to recognise that the cover layers are not observed directly Center layer in all places. The cover layers are actually only joined in the left edge of the spine, top of page, bottom of the page and in the lines between the coin slots. This leaves a tunnel through the coin open from the right edge of the page to about 3/4 "from the left spine. Acetate sheets are kept of the location of these tunnels and slide completely on the right side edge of the page.

Now that you understand how it is constructed album page should imagine how coins are loaded into the page. First move the top layer of the acetate to the right so that comes from the right side edge of the page, but pledge to leave the lower acetate on the spot. Your coins into position and slide the upper acetate with coin and back into its original position. Now you can see that the bottom of the acetate sheet is carried out on the spot by the lower lid and upper acetate is stored in the location of the upper lid. Both acetates work together and to keep the coin on the spot and to protect it from contact with the fingers or other objects.

Find the best manufacturer of coin albums

Collection of coins is the increased popularity of enormous quantity in recent years. This is thanks in no small part of the new coin initiatives undertaken by the Federal Government, such as the programme for the quarter of the State, as well as Numismatic collections such as the American Eagle and American Buffalo. Coins from all over the world and from all periods of history, of course, can be (and are) collected. No matter what type of collection is questionable, however, must be presented to the correct type of coin albums.

If you are on the market for a good manufacturer of coin albums, then you probably have some very strong ideas about what you want it to appear. You can have custom images for the pages for coins, or you may need, simply illustrated Board with die cut spots for coins to be held. However, regardless of what may be your ideas for the design, you must first find a good producer for custom coin albums. What qualities go into making this producer, and what to look for?

You must first find a manufacturer who offers a series of album of different choices. No two companies will have the same needs here, so be sure the company you choose offers the ability to customize the entire album design of the front cover to pages where you will be held the coins. You can choose to design work and, if so, then you must select a company that uses printable uncoated litho documents within their albums of coins.

Of course you need to find a company that offers a wide range of folders, holders and tips. For example, you may want binders with metal rings or may require coin albums made with archival paper. You may want different die cut configurations from another company, or you can choose the style of another page. As another note, what will the company be able to do in cover? Are limited to writing paper, or you can select another material? Custom covers are mainly account, when you create a folder to the original coin. Each of them is incredibly important, when considering albums for coins.

Another area that will want to be that of implementation services. Does gender company offers storage? Do they shrink wrap product? Collect coin albums, or that is something you will need to take care of your edge? And finally, what options your company gives the distribution? They will ship to all of your locations, or you will need to distribute albums of his own?

As you can see, there are many considerations which must be made before you select the manufacturer of your coin folders. With a little research and some time you can easily find a vendor that offers you all these options as well as many others as well.

What is a retailer to do?

When it comes to purchase of coins for one prefer attendance at a coin show against a stop in in local coin shop. Most of this is the logistics work all week and instead of going from shop to shop is just easier to go in one transmission. It is usually difficult to find a common manifold class coin in presentation (VF-XF), but when you get to know several sellers go on there way to certain materials for the show. In the odd sense they are part of their store for packaging and to show to facilitate my life and I really appreciate it. But the coin weekends show I saw something strange and felt bad for the merchant.

Two gentlemen have a list of the dealer, I'm fond of monopolizing and 8 coin boxes. Usually this is not a problem, but the two gentlemen there are before you came and are still in the table when I left two hours later. Sported a red book and have been pouring over each individual coin and when he left I noticed that they only set aside 3 coins.

An embossed cannot access table I surface there is no big deal, I can get it in the next concert, but the drive home, he hit me. I would usually spend 10 or 20 minutes and run anywhere from $ 50 to $ 200 for coins (a we are not talking $ 100 and coins values here as the selection is $ 2 to $ 75 variety) so that even if we have a smaller number (say, $ 25 for 15 minutes), which equates to $ 100/HR on the lower side of the $ 400/HR. This is quite a bit of business to lose, but what is the dealer make?

If he ruled them as soon as he can squeeze the repeat sales from them in the future if he can remain situations close he incidents of making money. This is a very difficult place to be me and really appreciate a salesperson must contend with.

This is my only advice here: the next time you show the coins and the trader is very friendly and polite and courteous to thank him, even if you do not do coin purchase. anyone may remain upbeat that deserves the occasional thank you!

Wensy auctions

chile.jpg

I've been a member of the auction site Wensy.com shortly after launch in 2007, but you've never bought one coin today. It is not theft, but is just a nice border VF coin from Chile, which is the prices around the book value. With its coin store in almost 12,000 lists fancy me passing by only watching has become one of general interest as a possible coin purchase outlet.

Wensy is completely free site, born from the failure of Yahoo Auctions and subsequently picked up a decent percentage of the yahoo auction sellers. I've kept an eye on the site of last year and a half to see where he goes and which was advertising. As expected, many of the over-graders from the old Yahoo settlement accounts and exists today, but sometimes there are some hidden gems. Some sellers may be identified as they use the two e-Bay and Wensy to has their goods.

The aim of Wensy in life is not to compete with e-Bay, but to provide a solution to the low price for sellers/buyers. Born of the frustrations of originator Darren Bock, Wensy is basically a home production and fire site with a lot of personal interaction by the owners of the site. Are small, they are not huge costs and maintenance staff on e-Bay and just "strike and you are".

For buyers is two strikes and you (and your IP address) are blocked from entry into the site State ever again. For sellers is three strikes and you're out with the same penalty.

Purchase of this coin is relatively simple and most sellers accept many methods, including Paypal and Google Checkout, which is a nice change from e-Bay. One possible thing I tried is not, since there are so few articles in respect of the total supply, many auctions going bovine. If some coins are just sitting there for weeks in the end not nibbles then there maybe mail and best offers the opportunity to have the auction price.

Overgrading And Overpricing!!! Here's an example:

Announce list for 1911D Barber half as fine + $ 55. Current trends of this coin in VG8 are $ 17, while the degree of F12 is $ 45. After viewing the photos, I would have ranked in the top levels of the VG (VG10) with some fine details of the extent of VG10 + and a reasonable price would be $ 25 to $ 30 range. Unfortunately the seller overgrading and overpricing are compatible.

I'm not sure having site and potential yet at the same time to see the new collectors overpay and soured the hobby. Small auction sites have little (if any) external (third party) blog sites or tools for buyers as we have with e-Bay.

Perhaps we can use this site? The question is how or if someone is interested? You can see what would you like people? Not everything that only named it I'd like proverbial new (a) to help it presented as another resource for collectors as buyers with a useful resource. I may be the only person that so maybe I'm just dreaming but if all you are interested I'm open to the use of this site.

E-Bay is a money making machine and is directed towards sellers and commissions, so that there is any actual interest to move quickly tender in high volume regardless of the quality of the sale. Essentially this is their business model for making money.

This type of auction site is great, if you have a constant flow of product and can easily justify the charges, in exchange for trade, will do, if you were a private company.

Site of Wensy is really catering to low-volume sellers. These are people who sometimes sell things or just have a smaller supply of the product and could not afford continuous levels of fees (remember Wensy is completely free). It is also low price to its feet wet type of thing for small business. Essentially get a free website through the shop front and administrative duties are handled free of charge (no need to pay your children, niece or nephew for people and phone orders).

The only downside is advertising since Wensy is not a business model, but a provider of services and make exactly this free service. Since no revenue is generated from the site (with the exception of certain pittance of google adwords and the occasional generous donation), most of the maintenance of the site is focused on ... duh ... service! But this is not what is small business or entrepreneur must cover? Absolutely Wensy is not responsible for the business to me, but simply service (and to some extent, the supply of free support). As the owner of the business, it must be my creative juices, which decides the advertising gap and if Wensy together with a feature that helps then Great and all the better.

Ultimately cannot compare e-Bay to Wensy! It is apples to oranges, business against the service, you will get the point.

OK ... Starting to ramble tad, time to search for more certain auctions:)

Storing your coins-benefits of coin collection albums

Collector coins is always thinking how to keep your coins in as safe a place as possible, because the coins are his hobby and his art is sacred to him, therefore he must find a safe place to store your coins.

There are many kinds of premises for the storage of coins, some of them are plastic tubes and there are different types of folders, but the coin collection, the album is by far the best way to keep your coins safe and to display them.

Benefits of the coin collection album

One of the main benefits of the coin, the collection of the album is that you can view your coins on both sides. This eliminates the procedure for sampling of coins each time you want to see them. That is why the album is preferable.

Another decision advantage album folders or any kind of conservation of the coin is the fact that your coins are spared wear.

Albums used materials such as plastic, which provides protection against scratches and dust.

There is a gold coin holders available which have pockets for your coins. These pockets provide protection for old or heavily used coins. When coins are very old, they support the release, but when you use the art collection of coins, they are safe and secure.

Another factor is the price. Albums are available for $ 20/-or $ 40/This may be a little more pricey, but as far as storage cannot make a better choice. Since safe storage is a priority, the album is the most purchased.

There is also an information centre, equipped with coins, collection of the album. You can use the front cover for everything that you want to write for your coins. There is also a back cover, where you can place your vintage figures, so as you can see, each coin collector, proudly to look over your coin in an organized manner.

Taking stock of these advantages with coins, collection of the album, as opposed to the usual folders and holders, coin collector, you will find that it may review its coins better and to store them in a safe and secure manner. Although he may pay more for the album, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, he can see the coins of the two countries to be scratched and are used by the Centre of the information, which allows him to write everything on his coins the obverse and the storage of its prized figures on the back.

As a whole coin collection album has all the features that will keep your coins free and gives you many hours of pleasure while viewing your coins.

Coin albums are generally the best choice

You will get the most use of your collection of coins, if the store and protect it in coin album. Albums are easily stored in a convenient location, such as publications. They are intended to keep the contents in and dust. And, unlike folders, albums allow you to see both sides of your collection of coins.

I'm often asked for the best method to store a collection of coins. My response depends on the contents of the collection, but for most people talk about the small denomination coins which may or may not be uncirculated. For this type of collection of coins that has little likelihood of a significant increase in the short term, I always suggest coin albums.

Coin albums are relatively inexpensive, ranging in price from around $ 12 to $ 35 depending on the number of coins held, quality of construction and whether it includes a slipcase. Most popular album is by far the Dansco brand. There are other well known brands such as Whitman, intercept shield and the US Mint, but Dansco rules roost.

All albums have similar characteristics. They have thick pages with sandwich as a structure which provides a sturdy inner core, two pieces of clear plastic on both sides of the coin and protective coating on both sides of the page. Pages have holes in them, which are the size of the coin are stored. Clear plastic sheets slide into the channels between the inside and a protective coating. Coins are placed in albums by sliding the most clear sheet right, insert a coin in the endangered hole and sliding leaves back above the coin. With the clear plastic from both sides of the coin is a safe place and protected from external contaminants.

There are several reasons why albums are higher on average coin collections.

* Albums are about the size of the text book. This allows the collector to store all type of collection in a book and to keep it publications. You cannot do this with a bulky State quarter map or in plastic coin tubes.

* Sandwich page structure with two plastic sheets allows you to see both sides of the coin. Cannot do this with the press in the coin folder.

* Plastic sheets accompanying the coin at the top and bottom, while the page protect on the walls. This minimizes the flow about coins and keeping them in a relatively dust-free. You can improve security by keeping album in slipcase tightly fitting.

* Many albums provide additional information for its collection. Often there is a description of the face in the cover, a list of the quantity of coins of the year on the inside back cover and the coin Mint year and mint mark of the opening of the page.

-Probably the most important albums can be shared. You can pull off shelf and make them friends and guests. You know that your coins are safe. They will not fall out. They even won't be touched.

Without doubt coin albums are the most versatile media for average coin collection. If they can see and handle your collection is important for your coin album is the best choice.
