How coin albums may lead to quality family time

If you are looking for something fun and cheap to do with your family, take some blank coin albums and gather around the kitchen table. Although the collection of the coin has been around for a long time, it still is a perfect game and learning experience for the younger members of your family. Plus the advent of the designated State quarters offers great opportunity for your children to learn more about the 50 States in the United States.

To begin, you must have enough coin albums, so that each child has a chance to build your own collection. (In a pinch, MOM and Dad can share with each other or work with more family members). The key is to make a game of search and identification of a particular State quarters from all 50 States.

There are several things you can do to improve this experience for your children. here are some examples:
The construction of some friendly competition in the search. Offer a small prize for members of the family, which finds all 50 coins first. (One way, you can increase your chances of finding them is offering to pay the indemnity in the premises). Prize offer must not be anything flashy, would do something as simple as letting the winner decide where to go to dinner (or what we have at home).
Packed a large wall map to visually shows how each in respect of the coin albums for filling. Indicate any child of his own color coded sticky pads, so that when he finds one quarter for a party, it may add one of its "sticky notes" in this State on the map.
Assign a task to go along with each coin. For example, there can be any child, find some tidbit of information for each Member State, such as capital, the State bird or flower or state motto. They can add their findings of their own sticky notes and share them with the whole family through the map on the wall.
If your pocket, you can plan trips of short day to attractions nearby, connected with their findings. Another idea would be like a little more in-depth studies of destination already plan to visit for upcoming family vacation.

Note, this project is especially attractive to younger children, because the process of search and succeeded quarters in their own coin albums gives them a sense of accomplishment. Plus, allows them to learn about us History and each of the 50 States, they build special memories with you and their descendants.

Finally, this project may open the door to talk to your children about money and the importance of being financially responsible. As your children begin to be added quarters of their albums coin, don't forget to talk to them about the value of the successive setting aside money for a rainy day. The game's writing is a great way to become a more pleasant experience for them. Who knows? This can result in a positive long term financial habits!
